Police: Auburn woman arrested for threatening woman with knife

An Auburn woman was arrested Saturday for threatening another woman with a knife earlier this month, the Auburn Police Department said.

Jessica L. Walls was picked up on a warrant June 17 and charged with third-degree criminal possession of a weapon, a felony, and second-degree menacing, a misdemeanor.

According to Auburn Police Captain Mark Schattinger, the warrant stemmed from a fight that occurred around 8:20 p.m. June 4 at 36 Cayuga St. Schattinger said six to eight people were involved in the fight and, although no one was injured, police determined that Walls had threatened one of the residents — a 29-year-old woman — with a knife.
