The National Weather Service has issued a Severe Thunderstorm Watch, which runs until 9 pm tonight. This is on top of the Flash Flood Watch, which runs for the entire area through the evening.
The main threat with the thunderstorms that will pop up this afternoon ahead of a cold front is damaging winds and heavy rainfall, which could result in localized flooding.
The areas most-prone for flooding, where drainage is poor will be where the greatest risk exists.
