Deputies in Ontario County arrested a Canandaigua man after he allegedly falsely reported an incident.
Roger E. Fisher, 74, of Canandaigua was charged with third-degree falsely reporting an incident, where he said that a female, known to him, was the victim of a homicide and that he was armed with a shotgun.
The incident generated a large response from the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office, assisted by New York State Police, as well as Canandaigua Ambulance.
However, investigation revealed that Fisher was found not to be in possession of any firearms, and the female was found to be unharmed.
He was issued a ticket to answer the charge in Canandaigua Town Court.
