More than two years after a fire ripped through a popular Ithaca bar, the site is showing signs of new life.
Construction has started at the former location of the Chapter House on Stewart Avenue, which was demolished three months following a fire that engulfed the bar and second and third-level apartments in April 2015.
Syracuse-based Hayner Hoyt Corp. broke ground a few weeks ago to create a building similar to the original Chapter House, said Jerry Dietz, property manager at CSP Management.
