Auburn officials talk collaboration, partnership at statewide tourism conference

The city of Auburn was represented at a statewide cultural tourism conference last week as an example of how different entities can collaborate to promote historical tourism within a city.

The New York Cultural Heritage Tourism Network’s spring conference took place June 7 at Colgate University. City Councilor Jimmy Giannettino and City Clerk Chuck Mason, both members of the Auburn Historical and Cultural Sites Commission, represented Auburn in a panel discussion called “Public Private Partnerships: Examples of best practices that you could model in your organization.” Representatives from Rochester were also on the panel to discuss their city’s history of women’s suffrage.
