GREEN TRIAL: ‘I didn’t see where the knife went’

The jury in the murder trial of Nagee Green on Monday heard the defendant tell police it was possible he accidentally stabbed two men during a fight last August at Cornell University.

“I remember my right hand with the knife touching their body, yes, but I was looking up,” Green told two investigators after hours of questioning on Nov. 7 following his arrest. “I didn’t see where the knife went.”

At more than three hours long, the video was played during the testimony of Investigator Kevin McKenna, of the Ithaca Police Department. McKenna conducted the interview of Green with Investigator Rick Haas, of the New York State Police, at the state police barracks on Nov. 7. The jury began viewing the video Friday and finished it Monday at the Tompkins County Courthouse.
