On Sunday around 2 pm investigators arrested a Newark resident on a charge related to giving a controlled substance to an inmate while visiting.
Investigators arrested Taylor C. Jinks, 25, of Newark for second-degree promoting prison contraband. Jinks allegedly gave an inmate a controlled substance during a visitation.
An alert corrections officer observed the incident, which led to the arrest.
Jinks was issued an appearance ticket.
