Police: Auburn man on parole facing weapons charge, more drug charges

An Auburn man was arrested on multiple drug charges Monday night following a visit from his parole officer.

The Auburn Police Department said Steven R. Mayer of 215 Genesee St. Apt. A7, was in possession of 14.5 grams of cocaine and 35 grams of marijuana, individually packaged in plastic bags. Police also found a digital scale in Mayer’s apartment.

The 38-year-old was charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, a class B felony, use of drug paraphernalia, fifth-degree possession of marijuana and violation of parole.
