New sculpture celebrates Seneca Lake

A new piece of public art has been added to the city’s lakefront.

The Geneva Public Art Committee and the Seneca Lake Wine Trail Association’s sculpture project celebrating Seneca Lake has been installed.

Penn Yan metal artist Sam Castner of Ironvine Studios has constructed the 30-foot tall stainless steel silhouette of Seneca Lake “that is something that residents and visitors will enjoy for years to come,” said spokesperson Rhonda Everdyke.

This sculpture is near the Geneva Events and Visitor’s Center at the entrance to Lakefront Park at Lake Street and Routes 5&20.
