A number of Finger Lakes food, beverage and agricultural-related efforts, many in Ontario County, have received more than $1 million in state agricultural funds, Gov. Andrew Cuomo announced this past week.
The administration said the seven funded projects involve research, promotion and development “designed to strengthen New York State’s diverse agricultural industry and spur economic growth across the state.”
The funding was approved by the Genesee Valley Regional Market Authority.
“These strategic investments in research, facilities and training are a key part of the Finger Lakes Forward and Southern Tier Soaring blueprints and are essential to the success of the agricultural industry and its future growth,” said Cuomo.
