The city of Ithaca’s identity was on full display this past weekend.
Dozens of bands spread out on several stages played an eclectic mix of genres. Samplings of diverse food from local restaurants were available on State Street. Craft booths on Cayuga Street offered wide-ranging items for sale including tie-dye shirts featuring monkeys and hemp-infused bottled water.
The Ithaca Festival once again drew thousands of people downtown during the three-day event to experience everything that makes Ithaca unique. The festival began with plenty of sunshine and 70-degree weather on Friday, followed by similar conditions Saturday after a slim chance of rain fizzled. The festival could not avoid the constant rain on Sunday, but the die-hards braved the wet conditions.
