Motorcycle, car collide in Sennett; temporarily shuts down Rt. 5

A motorcycle crash closed a portion of Route 5 Friday afternoon in the town of Sennett.

According to Cayuga County 911, at around 1:55 p.m., three vehicles were involved in an accident at the intersection of Route 5 and Healy Road. One of those vehicles was a motorcycle.

Route 5 was closed in both directions between Healy and Miller roads as crews worked to clear the scene. The Cayuga County Sheriff’s Office, Sennett Fire Department and Weedsport and AMR ambulance responded.
