A 22-year-old Waterloo woman is accused of recklessly breaking the femur bone of a 10-month-old baby that she was babysitting on April 11th, according to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office.
Deputies say the incident happened in the child’s home and the defendant was charged after it was learned that the parents were not notified of the injury.
Nicol Fabiszak, 22, of Waterloo is accused of recklessly breaking the child’s femur, then attempting to hide the injury from family by falsely answering questions about the injury.
The child was treated at Clifton Springs Hospital and was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital before finally being released.
Fabiszak was charged with third-degree assault and endangering the welfare of a child.
Her next court date is June 28th. She was released on appearance tickets until that date.
