With a controversial Republican healthcare bill passing in the GOP-controlled House, it’s likely Congressman Tom Reed will face some hostile constituents when he holds a town hall meeting in Geneva Saturday morning.
Reed, a Corning Republican who represents the 23rd District — which includes the western half of Ontario County and a portion of the Finger Lakes, including Yates and Seneca counties — will hold a town hall session at the White Springs fire hall, 3770 County Road 6, from 11 a.m. to noon.
“I just want to hear from folks on what’s happening on the front line,” Reed said in a conference call with reporters on Tuesday.
He calls the town halls “the right way to do the job.”
But Romulus resident Brien Ashdown said the meetings are not effective because Reed never changes his stances.
