The Auburn Police Department is asking for the public’s assistance in locating a driver and vehicle, which were involved in a hit-and-run on Wednesday.
Police say a 63-year-old female was walking south on State St. attempting to cross Seymour St. when she was struck in the crosswalk by a vehicle that was making a right turn off State St. onto Seymour St.
The vehicle is described as a gold color SUV, possibly a GMC Arcadia, which was last seen traveling west on Seymour St. after the collision.
The victim suffered a head injury and was transported to Upstate Medical Center for treatment.
