On Sunday May 28th at 9:47 am the Town of Seneca Falls Police Department arrested John L. Pitchell III, 80, of Seneca Falls following a larceny complaint at the Byrne Dairy on Fall Street.
Staff at the store observed a male enter the store, conceal merchandise, then leave without paying for it. The male left the scene prior to the police department arriving.
The following day the same male, later identified as Pitchell, came into the store again.
The staff recognized him and called police. He was subsequently placed into custody and processed at the police department.
He was released on an appearance ticket for one count of petit larceny, a misdemeanor. The charges will be answered at a later date.
