Deputies in Ontario County responded to an accident on Main St. in Rusvhille, which is also located in the Town of Gorham.
Ruth K. Hastings, 66, of Canandaigua and her passengers were stopped in traffic facing south in a 2004 Honda when Brent T. Siwak, 23, of Penn Yan was traveling south on Main St. and failed to observe the Hastings vehicle.
Deputies say Siwak’s vehicle struck Hastings Honda from behind.
A 69-year-old passenger in the vehicle was transported to F.F. Thompson Hospital for treatment of neck pain.
Siwak was issued a traffic citation for following too closely. The charge will be answered in Gorham Town Court.
