The Auburn Fire Department helped a man get out of the Owasco River Thursday night, according to the fire department.
Firefighters were dispatched just before 9 p.m. for a report of a man in the river.
Firefighters went behind 147 Owasco St. and were able to verbally led the male out of the water and assisted him up an embankment.
Personnel from the Auburn Police Department and TLC Ambulance were also present.
