Pickup truck bursts into flames after serious crash in Waterloo (video)

West River Rd. was shut down for at least two hours in Waterloo after a single-vehicle crash.

Witnesses say a pickup truck swerved while traveling on W. River Rd., struck a utility pole and burst into flames. According to scanner traffic, the driver of the vehicle did make out, but the extent of injuries suffered was not clear.

This all happened around 6:30 pm, and as of 8:30 pm West River Rd. remained closed.

Border City Fire Department and Seneca County Sheriff’s Department were first on-scene. NYSEG was also called to the scene.
