Finger Lakes Times Report
A criminal summons accusing Town Board member Thomas Ruzicka of second-degree harassment has been filed with Seneca Falls Town Court.
The summons was prepared and presented to the court Tuesday by Trooper Todd Everson of the state police in Waterloo.
The charge stems from a complaint and deposition filed by fellow board member David DeLelys. Everson said he also viewed surveillance video of the incident.
DeLelys said Ruzicka accosted him at Parker’s Grille and Tap House in downtown Seneca Falls the night of May 5.
The board met in special session earlier that evening to discuss and vote on controversial Local Law 2 of 2017. That law rescinded Local Law 3 of 2016, which required Seneca Meadows Landfill to close by Dec. 31, 2025.
Local Law 2 was approved by a 3-2 vote. Ruzicka was one of three voting for it, while DeLelys voted no.
