On May 13th the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office reports that they responded to a accident on State Route 14 at Cross Rd. in the Town of Phelps around 11:45 am.
Deputies say Qingyi Lu, 19, of Geneva was traveling east on Cross Rd. when she entered the intersection of State Route 14 and struck a southbound vehicle being operated by Brian Reeves, 60, of Baldwinsville.
Lu and a passenger were transported to Geneva General Hospital for minor injuries and she was ticketed for failure to yield the right of way.
Traffic had to be diverted at the scene for roughly one hour.
Oaks Corners Fire Department, Finger Lakes Ambulance, and Phelps Ambulance assisted at the scene.
