The Lieutenant Governor of New York State said people in Sodus Point are captives in their own homes as the high waters flooded their property.
Kathy Hochul’s caravan drove into Sodus Point and stopped in the middle of a flooded street. She walked through flood water to the bayside of a home.
On the same day, virtually every single local state lawmaker met at Irondequoit Bay to push for a bill that will get flooded towns and villages quicker access to state money to fix sewers and other infrastructure damaged by the flood.
