The Wayne County Sheriff’s Office reports the arrest of a Farmington man following an investigation into a burglary that occurred on Port Gibson Rd. in Palmyra on Thursday.
Deputies arrested John R. Gorzynski age 51 of 5934 Terrace Lane, Farmington for second-degree burglary burglary and fourth-degree criminal mischief.
It is alleged that Gorzynski broke into a residence on Port Gibson Rd. while the home owner was away. He left the residence when the homeowner came home and fled on foot. A short time later deputies located Gorzynski on Hogback Rd. near the scene.
Gorzynski was arraigned in the Town of Palmyra Court and remanded back to the Wayne County Jail without bail. He is scheduled to return to the Town of Palmyra Court at a later date to answer the charges.
