ZUZU
A very handsome black and brown Tiger, Zuzu was surrendered when his owner could no longer care for him. He’s an Indoor cat who lived with small dogs. Zuzu enjoys a pat on the head and a gentle scratch under his ear or chin. In no time, he should be looking for a lap to cuddle on. Eight-year-old Zuzu is neutered, up to date on his vaccinations, micro-chipped and tested negative for FIV and Fe-Leuk.
MUNCHKIN
You might think you are looking at the twin sister of last week’s Diamond. However, that is not the case. Petite and adorable, Munchkin is a playful little sweetheart who wears a tuxedo with white boots and gloves. At just over 1 year old, she was surrendered when her owner moved and could not keep her. Munchkin lived previously with another cat and a dog. She is now spayed, up to date on her vaccinations and tested negative for both FIV and FeLeuk. She will be micro-chipped shortly.
OSMAN
Back in early April, brown Tiger Osman was found lying alongside a road. He appeared to have an injured tail. Now an unclaimed stray, affectionate Osman is looking for someone to cuddle him. He’s a purrfect big Tiger boy with a unique circle of orange fur at the base of his tail. Osman is neutered, up to date on his vaccinations, micro-chipped and tested negative for FIV and FeLeuk. And his tail is just fine, Thank You.

The Thirteenth Annual Beverly Animal Shelter Yard Sale is scheduled for June 1, 2 and 3, from 9:00am to 5:00pm at the Rodman Lott & Son Farm (Empire Farm Days site); 2973 Route 414, Seneca Falls.
Good, clean, usable items will be accepted for the sale at Lott’s every Saturday and Sunday from 10:00am to 4:00pm beginning April 22. Please no clothing, shoes, TVs, computer equipment or stuffed animals.

The Beverly Animal Shelter is currently offering potential “barn” cats – neutered/spayed and vaccinated, friendly, outdoor cats who are good mousers, for $10. Please contact the Shelter for more information.
The new Integrated Veterinary Service has begun at the Beverly Animal Shelter. Although held only once or twice a month, the long wait for spay or neutering has been greatly reduced! Call the Shelter to make your appointment. They are now taking reservations.

Unfortunately, The Purina Pets for Seniors Fund has been DISCONTINUED. However, BAS is attempting to continue Senior adoptions on an individual basis through the generosity of others.

Why not take the opportunity to spend some playtime with your favorite canine. The Dave Pullen Memorial Dog Park at the Beverly Animal Shelter is open Monday-Saturday, 10am-4pm. It is located on the front center grounds at the Shelter and has a double-gated entrance. It is free to the public (though the Shelter always appreciates any donations!), but we do require you to stop by the shelter staff (at the store) to show proof of rabies and distemper vaccinations. We want everyone, including your dog safe! We also ask that you please clean up after your dog. Come on out and give your pup a chance to run off lead in a safe and enclosed environment!

Please keep in mind when you enter the Shelter grounds, to adhere to the 5mph speed limit. A very sweet but deaf cat that had lived at the shelter for 17 years was killed because someone sped through the drive.
Dallyn, along with the ASPCA, would like to remind all cat owners of the importance (after spay and neutering) of cat collars (safety or breakaway) with proper identification for outdoor cats. The Shelter is overwhelmed by “found” but unclaimed cats. The hope of the Shelter is to be able to reunite the lost felines with their owners. Many types of collars are available for cats. Please, if you have lost your dog or cat, DO CALL the shelter. Do not wait for an advertisement of “found dog/cat” to appear in the newspaper.
Please be a responsible pet owner. Spay and neuter your pets to prevent more unwanted animals. ONLY YOU can prevent the overflow of kittens that begins each Spring and carries on into the Fall.
