Ithaca Festival: Founder inspires 40th anniversary

The past is serving as a source of creativity for the 40th annual Ithaca Festival, to be held in June.

“Festival organizers have been meeting with one of the festival’s original founders for inspiration,” said Ben Greenberg, executive director of the Ithaca Festival. “Loretta Louviere, the godmother of the Ithaca Festival, will be making an appearance in the parade to help celebrate the anniversary.”

The festival will be held June 2 to 4 in downtown Ithaca. The Sim Redmond Band will start the festivities with a performance on the Bernie Milton stage immediately after the Ithaca Festival Parade.
