Niko Goodrum’s two-run eighth inning homer led the Rochester Red Wings to a 5-4 win over the Gwinnett Braves Tuesday night at Frontier Field.
The rally was needed because Ryan Howard, playing his second triple-A game with Gwinnett, gave the Braves a 4-3 lead in the top of the eighth with an RBI single.
Howard went 1-4 with a strikeout and the ribbie single in his Frontier Field debut this season.
