Committee to vote on Seneca County manager’s position

Does the Seneca County Board of Supervisors want John Sheppard to continue as county manager?

That question will begin to be answered at Tuesday’s Government Operations Committee meeting.

If the committee votes favorably on a motion to appoint Sheppard to a four-year term, the recommendation will go to the full board for a final vote May 9.

Sheppard was appointed as the county’s sixth manager in October 2015, running from Nov. 9, 2015 until Dec. 31, 2017.

That was called for in Local Law 9 of 2007.
