Seneca Falls man arrested twice in one week; violated order of protection

On April 18th at 2:48 pm The Town of Seneca Falls Police Department arrested Eric W. Austin, 29, of Seneca Falls for endangering the welfare of a child.

Austin failed to supervise a three-year-old child, which was in his care. He was arraigned in the Seneca Falls Town Court and committed to the Seneca County Correctional Facility in lieu of $250 cash bail or $500 secured bond.

Austin is to reappear in the Seneca Falls Town Court on May 5th at 9 am.

An order of protection was issued protecting the victim after that incident.

On April 21st at 2:19 pm officers arrested Austin again for second-degree criminal contempt.

On this date, officers say that Austin violated the order of protection — appearing at the protected party’s residence.

Police located him in the area of the victim’s home and arrested him a second time. Austin was arraigned in the Seneca Falls Town Court and committed to the Seneca County Correctional Facility in lieu of $750 cash bail or $1,500 secured bond.

Austin is to reappear in the same court on May 10th to answer the charge.
