A Clifton Springs woman was charged after investigators say she failed to secure prescription medication, allowing a 4-year-old child to ingest a large quantity of it.
Deputies charged Jennifer Lynn Rice, 27, of Clifton Springs with endangering the welfare of a child after an investigation revealed that she failed to secure medication on April 17th allowing a child to ingest a large quantity of it.
The child became unresponsive, and was subsequently hospitalized for three days.
She was issued an appearance ticket, which will be answered in Phelps Town Court.
