FLX FORECAST: Week will start sunny, but end cloudy and soggy

Skies will become increasingly sunny Monday and Tuesday, but the second half of the week looks stormy and wet.

According to FLX Weather Meteorologist Drew Montreuil things are going to get soggy in the second half of the week as the pattern becomes a little more active.

In the meantime, Montreuil had the following to report about the first half of the week:

A cold front moved through the Finger Lakes last night. Rain and thunderstorms out ahead of the front caused some wind damage in parts of Tompkins and Cortland county, but the actual front did not move through until the overnight hours.

Behind the front, temperatures will be more seasonable for a couple of days with highs Monday, Tuesday, and Wednesday ranging from the mid 50s to around 60 degrees.

Clouds Monday morning will gradually burn off and give way to at least partial sunshine for the midday and afternoon hours. Skies will then become mostly clear this evening, followed by bright sunshine throughout Tuesday.

Winds Monday afternoon may be a bit breezy but should calm down for Tuesday. With the calm winds and clear skies, Tuesday morning will be chilly, with morning lows in the 30s.
