Less than a day after one robbery was reported in the City of Ithaca — where an elderly woman had her purse stolen — a second robbery was reported.
The Ithaca Police Department says that around 12:58 am officers were called to the area of West Court St. and Sears St. for a robbery complaint. The female victim reported that a black male suspect wearing a black hoodie style sweatshirt and jeans approached her and took her wallet out of her hands.
The victim said she chased the suspect a short distance before he stopped, removed cash from the wallet and dropped the rest of the wallet on the ground. The victim was able to recover her wallet.
The suspect was last seen running southbound on N Cayuga St. towards the Ithaca Commons.
