A cold front moved through last night and resides over eastern New York this morning. Cool air is slowly filtering into the Finger Lakes. Most areas are starting the day around 50 degrees, but will likely slip back into the upper 40s this morning before rising back into the low 50s.
Clouds from the front remain in place over the region, and a couple of showers may even be possible early this morning east of Cayuga Lake. The best chance for these showers will be before 9 am. Cloud cover may be tough to erode away, but eventually, some sun should start to make an appearance during the afternoon hours. Should the sun come out quicker, temperatures could end up warmer.
By tonight, skies should clear and temperatures will fall back into the 30s overnight.
Thursday and Friday both promise to be quite sunny. Some high thin clouds will work in Friday, but they should not diminish the sun much. Temperatures will be in the low 50s on Thursday but should warm into the low 60s on Friday.
