Crews were battling a fire Monday afternoon in Sennett, which prompted the closure of Grant Ave. around Chestnut Ridge Rd in both directions.
The Auburn Citizen reports that the fire broke out around County House Rd. and Grant Ave Road.

The fire involved a number of lumber logs, which prompted the call of several other crews from the central portions of Cayuga County.
Sennett, Aurelius, Throop, Weedsport, Port Byron and Elbridge were called to the scene.

Winds blowing the fire were posing a problem for crews on scene, according to reports on the ground.
