Deputies: Lyons woman assaulted victim in Tops parking lot

A Lyons woman was charged on Thursday after deputies say she was involved in a physical altercation with another woman at a local business.

The incident happened at the Lyons Tops, where 28-year-old Alisha Abbott confronted another woman who was sitting in a car around 7:40 pm.

She is accused of pulling the woman’s hair and kicking her in the stomach while the victim’s 9-year-old child watched.

Abbott was arrested after authorities were called to the scene. She was charged with second-degree harassment, disorderly conduct and endangering the welfare of a child.

The other woman was treated at the scene and released. The victim was not identified by police.
