April 7th to be named ‘FLX Table Day’ in Geneva after winning competition

This Friday, April 7th, there will be a presentation in front of FLX Table on Linden Street to proclaim Friday, April 7th as FLX Table Day. In late 2016, FLX Table successfully competed for USA Today’s Best New Restaurant designation in the United States. There were some strong contestants from larger markets and bigger cities, and it was amazing to have this kind of recognition for FLX Table on Linden Street.

This designation has added to the buzz surrounding Geneva’s craft food and beverage scene, and has the potential to exponentially expand the City’s visitation and tourism impacts. City Council wanted to formally thank the owners, staff, and customer of FLX Table for their impacts on the City’s strategic vision.

The City has identified Linden Street as a core asset in developing out a vibrant downtown commercial district; and in 2016, Christopher Bates and Isabel Bogadtke opened FLX Table, an innovative and unique approach to farm-to-table dining, which creates a niche opportunity for locals and visitors alike to experience the culinary bounty of the Finger Lakes and beyond.

“What a unique and amazing asset to have in downtown Geneva. We are so grateful for having FLX Table have such an influential impact in just a short time after opening. Please join us on Friday night to recognize the success of FLX Table and everything that this business has done for Geneva.” says Matt Horn, City Manager.
