Geneva man found with heroin in Waterloo

A Geneva man is facing multiple charges after he was stopped by police following a suspicious person complaint.

On Tuesday at approximately 6:22 pm officers arrested Adam T. Martin, 24, of Geneva — charging him with seventh-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance, driving while intoxicated, driving while ability impaired by drugs, and failure to stop at a stop sign.

The charges stem from a suspicious person complaint where Martin was found to be in possession of a quantity of heroin.

He was operating his motor vehicle on North Virginia St. in Waterloo when authorities approached him.

He was released on appearance tickets and will answer the charges in Waterloo Village Court on April 19th at 5 pm.

The Waterloo Police Department was assisted by the New York State Police and the Seneca County Sheriff’s Office.
