Deputies in Ontario County arrested a Canandaigua woman for driving while ability impaired by drugs following a traffic stop on West Ave. in Canandaigua.
Lauren M. Mcclellan, 20, of Canandaigua was charged with driving while ability impaired by drugs, unlawful possession of marijuana, and aggravated unlicensed operation of a motor vehicle.
Deputies stopped Mcclellan after she failed to stop at a red light on West Ave. in the City of Canandaigua. She performed a series of field sobriety tests, which showed significant signs of impairment. She was then transported to the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office where she submitted to a breath test, as well as a drug influence evaluation.
The expert performing the test determined that Mcclellan was impaired by drugs and unable to operate a vehicle safely. She was issued appearance tickets and will answer the charges in Canandaigua City Court.
