Woman arrested on drug charges while trying to bail out inmate at Ontario Co. Jail

The Ontario County Sheriff’s Department reports the arrest of a Rochester woman after she arrived at the Ontario County Jail to bail out an inmate.

Deputies charged Shaiasia Williams, 24, of Rochester with third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance after she sold narcotics to a subject in Canandaigua in February.

The charges against her stem from an investigation between the Ontario County Sheriff’s Office Special Investigation Unit and the Rochester Police Department Narcotics Unit into the sale of narcotics in both jurisdictions.

Additional charges against Williams are pending, according to deputies.

She was arraigned in Canandaigua City Court and remanded to the Ontario County Jail in lieu of $10,000 cash bail or $20,000 secured bond.
