A 52-year-old Level 3 sex offender from Auburn was arrested on Monday after he attempted to lure a 13-year-old girl into sexual contact.
State Police say Jack Douglas, 52, of Auburn was arrested in Seneca Falls before he could have any contact with the female victim.
At the time, police say Douglas was being supervised as a Level 3 sex offender by New York State Parole.
Douglas was charged with felony attempted use of a child in a sexual performance and felony first-degree attempted disseminating indecent material to minors.
He was sent to the Seneca County Jail without bail.
State Police say the Seneca Falls Police Department and New York State Parole assisted with the investigation.
