A Seneca Falls man who beat a woman last summer was found guilty of several charges, and acquitted on others, following a trial in Seneca County Court.
Jose L. Hernandez, 46, was convicted Friday on two counts of second-degree assault and one count of aggravated criminal contempt. Both are felonies.
He also was convicted on misdemeanor charges of second-degree menacing and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
Hernandez was acquitted on felony charges of second-degree assault and second-degree strangulation, as well as second-degree unlawful imprisonment and fourth-degree criminal possession of a weapon.
