Ontario County’s director of public health was among 10 women honored earlier this month by a Central New York public TV station.
During a March 10 ceremony at the Women’s Rights National Historical Park in Seneca Falls, Mary Beer was among WCNY’s “Makers: Women Who Make America” honorees.
“It was a very humbling experience. I am so honored to be recognized for doing the work that I love,” Beer said. “This year is my 40th anniversary as a nurse, and to receive an award like this means more than I could ever put into words.”
