Second chance for Trinity in Geneva?

Trinity Episcopal Church’s request for a use variance as part of its effort to redevelop its South Main Street buildings into an inn, events center and restaurant may get another look.

Neil Braman, the city’s planning and zoning coordinator and development services manager, said that a Zoning Board of Appeals member has requested that the board consider setting a new hearing on the church’s use-variance request, which was rejected last month.

A public hearing on the request is set for Tuesday at 7 p.m. in the Public Safety Building at 255 Exchange St.

In essence, the ZBA is hosting a hearing as part of the effort to consider whether a second hearing for Trinity’s proposal will happen.
