The Auburn City Council will hold a public hearing on a local law establishing protections and enhancements for historic landmarks in the city. The hearing will be held at 6 p.m. Thursday, March 23, at the start of the council's weekly meeting at Memorial City Hall, 24 South St., Auburn.
The city adopted an Historic Preservation Law in 1991, but has not updated it much since. The new draft law would allow the city to be up to date with the state's Model Preservation Law established in 2014.
