Seneca Falls sex offender headed to prison for violating probation

A sex offender living in Seneca Falls who was on probation is now staring at prison time. Tyler Ross, 21, pleaded guilty Monday in Seneca County Court to violating terms of his probation. Judge Dennis Bender is scheduled to sentence Ross April 17 to 2-6 years in prison.

Ross, who was placed on probation in Yates County in 2015 for a sex offense — he later moved to Seneca Falls — admitted he failed to register a Facebook account as required by law. He was arrested earlier this year on that charge and several drug offenses.
