Sheriff: ‘No Unnecessary Travel’ in Seneca Co. until Thursday at 5 am

Seneca County Sheriff Tim Luce issued an update on the Travel Advisory, which had been active since he lifted the travel ban at 5 am on Wednesday.

Due to poor road conditions, he extended the travel advisory until 5 am on Thursday. The advisory means that driving isn’t prohibited, but it is discouraged. Those who do take to the roadways should expect poor conditions, which will worsen as nightfall nears.

Highway Superintendent Roy Gates and Emergency Management Director Melissa Taylor both assisted in making decisions on travel.
