This weeks wind storm has not only wreaked havoc on Monroe County and the surrounding areas, but it has also impacted the Section V boys basketball tournament’s closing rounds. On Friday afternoon, the Section V Boys Tournament Committee and the NYSPHSAA announced a venue change for Saturday’s Far West games, including the Class B Regional featuring the Mynderse Academy Blue Devils.
The games were originally slated to be played at Rush-Henrietta High School but that facility remains without power as of Friday afternoon. The entire slate of games will now be played at Genesee Community College in Batavia, NY. The schedule and game times remain the same. Mynderse is still scheduled to tip at 3:30 pm.
This does not effect the girls Far West Regional games involving the South Seneca Lady Falcons and the Mynderse Academy Lady Blue Devils which will still be played at Buffalo State at 5:00 pm and 7:00 pm respectively.
All three games will be streamed live on FingerLakes1.com. Broadcast details and links are below…
