A pair of Seneca Falls residents are facing felony charges after reports that the intentionally sought out to defraud Seneca County by collecting benefits, to which they weren’t entitled.
On March 3rd at 1:00 pm Seneca County Investigators arrested Mark L. Cooley, 56, and Robin V. Barner, 56, both of Seneca Falls for first-degree offering a false instrument for filing — a Class E Felony.
The charges stem from both filing for public benefits with Seneca County Division of Human Services and concealing all members of the household with intent to defraud Seneca County.
They were issued appearance tickets to appear in the Village of Waterloo Court on April 19th to answer to the charges.
