Two heroin investigations result in simultaneous arrests in Geneva

Provided

A pair of Geneva men are facing multiple felony charges after a pair of five month investigations crossed paths on Monday.

Officers say Luis E. Sanchez, 53, and Jonathon Clausell-Herrera, 32, both of Geneva were charged with third-degree criminal sale of a controlled substance — a Class B felony.

The pair are accused of selling heroin in and around Geneva over the last several months. Upon being arrested, officers say U.S. Currency and heroin were seized.

Sanchez was also charged with third-degree criminal possession of a controlled substance — also a Class B felony. He is awaiting arraignment on an Ontario County Felony Indictment.

Clausell-Herrera is being held on $25,000 cash bail or $50,000 secured bond.

Additional felony charges are pending, according to police.
