One hospitalized at Strong after Richmond crash

One person was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital for treatment of injuries after an accident at the intersection of O’Neil Rd. and County Rd. 15.

Deputies say they were called to a Richmond intersection for the report of a two car crash. When they arrived on scene, they learned that a vehicle being operated by Joseph Mounts, 48, of Honeoye failed to yield the right of way at the intersection — when he was struck by a second vehicle, operated by Kaitlin Gerould, 23, of Livonia.

Mounts had to be extricated from the vehicle with the jaws of life and was transported to Strong Memorial Hospital for injuries sustained.

He was also issued citations for failing to yield the right of way. Gerould suffered a wrist injury, according to deputies.
