Geneva ZBA rejects Trinity rezoning request

A $5.5 million project to redevelop the historic Trinity Episcopal Church was rejected by the Zoning Board of Appeals late Tuesday night.

The ZBA heard nearly three hours of impassioned public comment, both for and against the rezoning request.

If the rezoning had been approved, it would have allowed the financially struggling church to convert the 2.35-acre site for use as an inn, event space and restaurant.
